The Rendezvous Ski Trails are managed through a cooperative
partnership between the U.S. Forest Service, the West Yellowstone
Chamber of Commerce and the West Yellowstone Ski Education Foundation.
The Rendezvous Ski Trails, located entirely on U.S. Forest Service
property, consist of approximately 35 kilometers of gently rolling
trails that wind through tall stands of lodgepole pine and open
meadows just south of West Yellowstone, Montana. The trails begin
at the distinctive Trailhead Arch, located at the end of Geyser
Street and within easy walking distance of all lodging properties.
Ideally situated at just over 6800 feet (2000 meters) in altitude,
the Rendezvous Ski Trails provide perfect conditions for high
altitude training or recreation at any time of the year. The
altitude and location adjacent to the Continental Divide in southwestern
Montana also mean that snow comes early and stays late. The trail
system is expertly groomed by Doug Edgerton of Yellowstone Track
Systems-
. Doug was the Chief of Course Preparation
for the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT and we are fortunate
enough to ski on his outstanding grooming work daily.
Trail passes are required during the Yellowstone Ski Festival.
Passes for the month of November are $45.00. Three day passes
are $25.00 and one day passes are $10.00. These passes are valid
during the Yellowstone Ski Festival and thought the end of November. Fall
Camp Clinic participants will receive trail passes (included with registration fees) that are valid for the duration of your clinic.
During the Yellowstone Ski Festival, trail passes can be purchased
at the West Yellowstone Chamber of Commerce, Freeheel and Wheel,
the West Yellowstone Conference Hotel and at the trailhead.
