West Yellowstone SuperTour

Wild West Sprint Showdown

November 25, 2009

The Yellowstone Ski Festival is happy to announce a NEW race to our line-up.  In conjunction with USSA, West Yellowstone will host the first ever USSA SuperTour Sprint-Qualifier-Only Race.  This classic technique race will be approximately 1.4km for men & women and will be held on Wednesday, November 25.  This race is open to ALL skiers.  Competitive racers have the chance to earn points and citizen racers can test their skills against the sport’s top athletes. SuperTour Registration Classic Sprint Qualifying Race fees and deadlines:

  • ·  $20.00 though Sunday, November 22
  • ·  Late fee: $5.
  • ·  Late fees will apply to all registrations received after November 22, 2009 through 5pm November 24, 2009 .

Registration for all races will close at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24

 Age classes: Juniors, Seniors, Masters 

 Seedingwill be by USSA rules.

Award money: $250 for fastest Man, $250 for fastest Woman 

Racers must be present at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday night and have a current FIS standing to receive their winnings.  Unclaimed prize money will be used for grooming and maintenance on the Rendezvous Ski Trails and to support the West Yellowstone Nordic Ski Team.

Cancellation:  If the SuperTour Races are cancelled by the Chief of Competition on Monday, November 23, 2009 at noon due to lack of snow or other natural cause, a partial refund will be issued once non-refundable expenses are calculated.  If races are held and a racer does not compete, no refund will be issued.

West Yellowstone SuperTour

November 27 and 28, 2009

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association's SuperTour will be one of the highlights of the Yellowstone Ski Festival again this year. The Men's 15K and Women’s 10K FREESTYLE races will take place on Friday, November 27th. The Men's 10K and Women’s 5K CLASSIC races will take place on Saturday, November 28th To register, visit:

Below is a schedule of events for the races in West Yellowstone. We encourage and reward early registration. Please take the time to register in advance!

SuperTour Registration fees and deadlines:

  • ·  $35.00 for one race/$60 for two races though Sunday, November 22, 2009
  • ·  Late fee: $10. $45.00 for one race/$70 for two races
  • ·  Late fees will apply to all registrations received after November 22, 2009          through 5pm November 24, 2009 .
